A & S Water Taxis HELP SAVE THE TRADITIONAL MALTESE DGHAJSA (pronounced die-sa). These boats have been slowly disappearing from our shores. In 1864 Malta had 1,134 licensed Dghajsa's. We now have a mere handfull. It is our aim to not only save these boats, but to re-launch them as a major tourist attraction. When visiting Egypt for example, you would almost certainly visit the pyramids. If in Venice you'd take a trip on a Gondola. Therefore when in Malta take a trip in a Traditional Dghajsa in & around the Grand Harbour where you will be able to view sights older than the Pyramids from traditional boats designed well before the Gondola.
A & S Water Taxis
From November of 2004, A&S Water Taxis have been vastly improving their services.
With the support of the MTA, MEPA & the local council, we will be launching our mobile information office. It shall be situated in Vittoriosa for the purpose of informing the general public, and tourists alike, of all the places of interest in and around the Three Cities.
From Museums, & monuments.
To The local Sporting Facilities.
At present we serve the tourist industry, by providing Harbour Cruises in & around the Grand Harbour on the TRADITIONAL MALTESE DGHAJSAs. This is a unique experience, as you will be shown parts of the Harbour that only the very experienced Local Boatman know about. The Cruise will take approximately 40 minutes (weather permitting).

From mid November, we will be introducing a Water Taxi Service from the Three Cities to Valletta.
We believe that this is now a necessity for the local people.
At present travelling to & from work via road is an absolute nightmare. Depending on the time of day that you travel on, it can easily take an hour to get to Valletta from anywhere in the Three Cities.
A water taxi will take no longer than 10 minutes, it will also save you money, i.e. on fuel & No parking worries.
